A series of 13 photographs in which images are overlayed on the waves of a running stream. Created in 2010-2018.
The idea of these works appeared quite a long time ago. Once, Enzo was invited to participate in the charity exhibition “Become an Angel”. For this, he had to present the image of an angel that never existed before. It took a lot of time to create the picture. The original idea of using a model with wings didn’t look good enough and the author abandoned it. Deep in thoughts, he was walking by the pond looking into the water, watching fancy reflections and sun glare on its surface. And he suddenly saw the familiar outlines of the Angel of the Annunciation by Fra Beato Angelico. He got the idea. This work was the beginning of a series of photographic works, mainly portraits, for which the effect of water reflection, its fancy lights and outlines was used. The master created a number of paintings in a similar technique. Some of them were included in his later collections.
The series was first presented at the Modern Art Gallery in Salerno, Italy. The size of works is 70×70 cm, printed on canvas with subsequent hand coloring.
